NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS

Studies show that the nutritional quality of milk is enhanced from cows that are grass fed versus those that are grain fed*.

Conjugated Linoleic Acids (CLAs)

CLA naturally occurs in milk; however, milk derived from grass-fed cows has twice the level compared to indoor grain fed cows.

OMEGA FATTY ACIDS

Grass-fed milk has a more optimal ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids**. Milk from grass-fed systems has a higher proportion of omega-3 fatty acids and a lower ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids,** which is favorable when compared with milk from grain-fed systems

BETA CAROTENE

You can thank beta carotene for the rich golden hue often associated with products derived from grass-fed milk.

* Effect of pasture versus indoor feeding systems on raw milk composition and quality over an entire lactation
** Quality characteristics, chemical composition, and sensory properties of cheese from cows on pasture versus indoor feeding systems

QUALITY
REDEFINED

Our Truly Grass Fed standard ensures high levels of milk quality and farming are maintained. Our farms and facilities blend natural factors with expert craftsmanship to deliver the best possible results. We believe that no detail is too small and our farmers agree. That’s why they have such passion and pride for cleanliness, safety and more.

Traceability

FULLY TRACEABLE

Every cow in Ireland has a unique number that is recorded in a central government-managed database to monitor her whereabouts throughout her life. Additionally, every Truly Grass Fed farmer has a unique barcode that enables us to track where every single batch of milk comes from. That’s just two more ways that we go the extra mile—from our farms to your table.

CLOSE TO NATURE

Our dairy is as close to nature as it gets with minimal inputs required to produce our delicious TGF cheeses. For our other TGF dairy ingredients such as our Protein portfolio—to ensure we maintain the highest possible levels of undenatured protein, our proteins pass through advanced filtration systems that separate out key elements of the dairy and concentrate the natural purity of the end product. These pure dairy proteins can also be used as ingredients in other products

Microfiltered

Safe and Pasteurized

In compliance with food safety regulations, all raw milk is pasteurized to ensure it is safe for your enjoyment. In addition, each farm’s milk is tested numerous times from pickup through processing to ensure it contains no impurities and meets the high standards of the Truly Grass Fed name.

Sustainable

Sustainable

The quality of our products is a reflection of our relationship to our world and the environment. We are constantly striving to do better, be better and achieve a truly sustainable milk supply with a minimal carbon footprint. The farms that supply Truly Grass Fed are certified to the Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme (SDAS), which is part of Origin Green, Ireland’s national sustainability initiative.
